Vincey

Vincey is a common French, located in the department of the the Vosges and the area Lorraine.

Its inhabitants is called Vincéens.

Geography

Vincey is located on a plate dominating left bank of the the Moselle, Portieux occupying Right Bank in opposite. The Canal of the East borders the commune.

History

At the 15th century, Vincey became an enclave of the Baillage of Épinal between those of Charms and Châtel. ; Blasonnement: Of money to sinople cabbage supported by divided lowered of gold posed on a terrace of mouths, to three money factories to dextral, and the of the same village with sinistral, stitching on the whole.
the cabbage was the traditional local culture. The three factories represent three industries of the place, electricity, metallurgy and cotton, and the village symbolizes the rural population.
