Vincenzo de\' Rossi

Vincenzo de' Rossi or Vincenzo Rossi da Fiesole (Fiesole, 1525 - Florence, 1587) is an Italian sculptor of the school florentine.

Biography

It begins its career with Baccio Bandinelli.

In 1546, considering its succeeded training, it leaves for Rome, where it receives its first order in 1547 for a statue of Giovane Cristo idiot San Giuseppe , placed in a vault of the the Pantheon of Rome, on a request of the Accademia dei Virtuosi , a company of artists similar to the Accademia di San Luca. Another work of its Roman period is the busto di Uberto Strozzi with the Basilica di Santa Maria will sopra Minerva (1553).

Turned over then to Florence, its principal works are preserved at the Palazzo Vecchio, with the Jardin of Boboli, the palate of the Bargello and in front of the Villa médicéenne Villa Medicea di Poggio Imperiale .
