Vincent of Paul Nyonda
Vincent of Paul Nyonda (1918-1995) was a writer and a Gabonese politician .
Several times minister under the presidency of Leon Mba, Vincent of Paul Nyonda was imprisoned by Omar Bongo before being exiled in province. It is during its interior exile that he discovered the writing and that he devoted himself to the theater. After having attended the representation of one of its parts, Joséphine Bongo convainquit, says one, her husband to authorize Vincent of Paul Nyonda to return to Libreville. Having given up any political activity, it could assemble there a certain number of plays which made of him the Gabonese author most popular.
Today, a literary prize bears its name.
