Vincent Monteil

Vincent Monteil is a French leader, born the December 28th 1964 with Angers.

Biography

Vincent Monteil begins his formation with the National Academy from Area of Angers, then in Rueil-Malmaison. He continues studies of musicology in the Sorbonne and improves while following the courses of direction of orchestra of Gerard Devos and Pierre Dervaux.

From 1991 to 1996, Vincent Monteil is assistant with the musical direction, the Théâtre of Capitole of Toulouse where it acquires a vast practice and culture of the French repertory near Michel Plasson. In 1996, it joined the Philharmonic orchestra of Nice as leader associated with the musical director. During six seasons, it will direct nearly 30 representations per annum: opera, ballet, symphonic music or modern music.

From 1999 to 2003, Vincent Monteil initiated a collaboration followed with Statni Opera Praha. He is the invited chief privileged for the French opera. At the time of the Spring of Prague 2002, it directs a French trilogy: Carmen, Robert the Devil, ARIANE and Bore-Blue . The operas which it records in Prague are worth him the invitation of Sir John Eliot Gardiner to prepare for him a new production of ARIANE and Bore-Blue in Zurich.

Vincent Monteil is a chief appreciated abroad (Spain, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Serbia or Russia).

Since 2005, Vincent Monteil was chosen by Culture-France (artistic department of the French Ministry of the Foreign affairs) to diffuse the French music abroad within the framework of the program " a chief a orchestre".

In May 2007, it is named Musical director of the OSYJ 31, Symphony orchestra of the Young people of Haute-Garonne.
