Vincent Dumestre

Vincent Dumestre is a Luth ist, guitarist and Leader French born in May 1968.

Biography

Vincent Dumestre studies the traditional Guitare with the Teacher training school of Music of Paris and history of art to the École of Louvre. He devotes himself then to the music for Théorbe, Guitare baroque and Luth. He studies at the time of training courses with Hopkinson Smith, Eugene Ferré, with the Conservatoire of Toulouse and with that of Boulogne in the class of Basse continues. It obtains its higher Diploma unanimously.

Since he plays with in many whole such as the Ricercar Consort, Simphonie of the Marsh, the Concert of the Nations, the Large Stable and the Room of Roy, Akademia and the Center of Baroque music of Versailles.

In 1997, it founds the Harmonic Poem. The unit is greeted by the critic as of the beginning, and Vincent Dumestre is elected " young talent of the year 1999" by the review Tuning fork . Its recordings for the label Alpha receive many rewards (gold Tuning fork of the year, Choc of the World of the Music of the year, recommended by Classica,…)

In 2004, the Minister for the Culture names Vincent Dumestre Chevalier of Arts and Lettres.

In 2005, it receives the Grand Prix of the disc and the DVD of the Académie Charles-Cross-country race, Baroque music category, for its Bourgeois Gentleman .
