Vinča , in Serb Cyrillic Sr Винча, is a locality of Serbia located in the municipality of Grocka, district of Belgrade. In 2002, it counted: 5815 inhabitants, of which a majority of Serb.
Vinča is located at 13 km of Belgrade, with the confluence of the the Danube and the Bolečica. Forming an agglomeration with Ritopek, Boleč, Leštane and Kaluđerica (25 000 inhabitants) the locality remains officially regarded as a village.

Belo Brdo
In 1908, at the village of Belo Brdo located in the vicinity, a team of archeologists directed by Miloje Vasić carried out Fouille S which put at the day of important vestiges dating from the Neolithic period ; taking into account the importance of the discoveries carried out, one gave the name of the close locality to the culture which developed along the Danube between 6.000 and 3.000 front J.C. : it is from now on known under the name of culture of Vinča.
