Villers-the-Nancy
Villers-the-Nancy is a common French, located in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle and the area Lorraine.
Geography
Villers-the-Nancy is located at the North-East of France, in the south-western suburbs of Nancy. It extends since Nancy until on the plate from the Hague and its forest.The commune is made up of three districts:
- the district Town hall-Placieux , which is closest to Nancy,
- the district Botany-Village , which goes from the village to the Botanical garden of Montet and the plate of Brabois,
- the district of Clairlieu (gentilé " Clairlocois") , in a clearing of the Forest of the Hague, beyond the highway A33.
The frontier communes in Large Nancy are: Laxou, Nancy and Vandœuvre-the-Nancy.
History
founded Cistercian abbey of Clairlieu about the year 1150, in activity until the French revolution.
