Events

  • Festival Sands Show “Musics on the Meridian line”: the concerts proceed Tuesday and Fridays evenings of July and August during the tourist season. These free concerts in the open air concern especially young artists.
  • Festival of the New Talents: at the end of August - chamber music - concerts to 18:00 - inscription with the tourist office.
  • Festival of the shell: since 1996, the last weekend of October is the occasion to celebrate scallop. Around a market proposing shells, seafood, and produced artisanal, of the folk groups traverse the streets and accompany the processions by the brotherhoods of the soil. Tastings take place throughout the procession, with the colors of the invited country.

Sports

  • Tennis: Villers-on-sea is equipped with a Tennis club rested by Charles Fougères in the years 1930 who saw passing from many French champions, of which one of the " mousquetaires": Rene Lacoste.
  • Cycling: Villers-on-sea was city-stage of the Tour de France in 1986.

  • the vegetable dinosaur vis-a-vis the sea, in the garden of the tourist office, represents one of the principal monuments of Villers-on-Sea. Certain years, a baby dinosaur is added.
  • Villers-on-sea is the starting point of cliffs of the cow-black . They conceal paleontological multitudes of vestiges. A mini museum in the enclosure of the tourist office makes it possible to have an outline of the resources and discoveries (a crocodile was found in Normandy!). It is a place universally known by the specialists in the Ammonite S and other fossils.
  • the beach of Villers-on-sea and its cabins of beach, first French terrestrial zone approached by the international meridian line.
