Places and monuments
In the middle of a medieval village is a castle developing according to a quadrangular plan marked by four strong towers of angle; it is there that was flaring the last Parfait Cathare in 1321 (Guilhèm Bélibaste).
Formerly enclosed in its ramparts, Villerouge-Termenès preserved in its center the castle of the archbishop of Narbonne, lord of the place at the 14th century.
Today, the body of the castle shelters a permanent exposure divided into three registers: in the ground floor, Bélibaste; on the first floor, the archbishop of Narbonne; on the second floor, the castle and its village. In 1997, a medieval grill room opened its doors in the enclosure of the castle and proposes true mets of the Moyen-âge to the general public.
