Villedieu-the-Stoves (to pronounce //) is a common French, located in the department of the Manche and the area Basse-Normandie. Villedieu-the-stoves is twinned with Horn-Bad-Meinberg, in Germany, Jersey with the the United Kingdom, and the district of Miraflores to the Peru. The inhabitants of Villedieu-the-Stoves are called: the Sourdins or the Théopolitains .

Geography

The commune of Villedieu-the-Stoves is crossed by the His. The City is located on the Autoroute of the Estuaries .

History

Soil pertaining at the origin with the Abbey - with-Ladies of Caen, there did not exist parish of Villedieu before the 12th century (towards 1130). Villedieu was then part of the parish of Saultchevreuil called Siennestre .
