August 22nd, 2005, a rising of the brook going down from the lake of Crozet because of extensive damage with Lancey.
The paper mill where 400 people work is entirely devastated and the road crossing the village was cut in two points, isolating during two days part of the inhabitants.

Diden Berramdane was born in Brignoud in 1950. It makes a passage to Maghnia where it learns painting, the music inspired by arabo-Eastern art. Artist multidisciplinary, it currently directs the Theater of the Holy Vault Marie-of in-Low to Grenoble.
