Villaputzu

Villaputzu is a commune of 4 733 inhabitants of the Province of Cagliari. It belongs to the geographical area of Sarrabus.

History

Important agricultural center, Villaputzu was already attended in age nuragic. Villaputzu is regarded as the fatherland of the Launeddas since among its fellow-citizens, have could find Masters of this instrument (Efisio Melis, Antonio Lara…). Today still, have can notice the changing of the young generation.
