The village fair indicates with the Grand-Duché of Luxembourg, in Belgium and in the North of France a parish fair. It is the Francization Flemish word Kerkmisse (Mass of the church).

It is in general held Sunday of the week which contains the festival of the protective Saint of the parish. There exist also village fairs which are related to old fairs or markets which were held annually in the villages. In Luxembourg most known is the great Village fair of the Town of Luxembourg. It is called Schueberfouer (http://www.funfair.lu), is held with the place of the Glacis and lasts 15 days. Monday of Village fair is in the large Luxembourg communes generally regards as free day of work so that it is consolidated in the collective agreements of the employees working for this commune. For the tradesmen it is an occasion to organize annual stock sales or sales on the pavement. In the parishes having more than of a church one can have two of them of which one is then the great village fair and the other the small one.
