Charles, marquis of Vieuville (Paris towards 1582-Paris January 2nd, 1653)

• Initially man of war.

• 1623, Superintendent of Finances. Fact of entering Richelieu to the Council and of disgracing Sillery.

• 1624, stopped on August 13rd, for corrupt practice on order of Richelieu. Escape from the Château of Amboise, at the end of one year (or in 1631). Takes refuge in England. Disgrace until the death of Richelieu.

• September 8th 1651 Return to the Superintendence. It is made duke and par. Retz speaks about the " old catch Vieuville "
