Vienna (Austrian river)
The Vienna ( German Wienfluss in ) is small a Rivière of long Austria of 34km which is thrown in the the Danube with Vienna.
More precisely, it is thrown in the channel of the Danube ( Donaukanal in German) on its Right Bank, which even borders to him by the line (in the south) the Danube in its urban part in Vienna. The river is channeled in its urban part, and it occupies often only one small portion of the channel, leaving place with the cyclists and the pedestrians at its sides. However, in rainy weather or in spring, the level can go up rather quickly.
Around the river
It is along its bed that the first line of the Métro of Vienna was built. Today, it is about the U4 line, which skirts the river of Hütteldorf until Wien Mitte.The river also passes in front of the Stade Gerhard Hanappi to Hütteldorf, in front of the Château of Schönbrunn, as well as the Naschmarkt, and the Urania.
