Vidkun Quisling

Vidkun Abraham Lauritz Jonnsøn Quisling , officer of the Norwegian royal army of 1911 with 1921, the major Vidkun Quisling (July 18th 1887 - October 24th 1945) was in Norway the principal cantor of collaboration with the occupant Nazi during the Second world war.

The hostility of the Norwegian population leads Hitler however to return this last later one week. Quisling is reinstalled with the capacity only in February 1942 and collaborates consequently actively with the occupant Nazi, that it is by off-setting the Jewish populations, as a combatant the resistant ones to the sides of the Gestapo or by inviting the young Norwegians to integrate the Waffen-SS.

Stopped with the German capitulation, Quisling is considered to be and recognized guilty of high treason. He is shot the October 24th 1945 with Oslo.

The " term; quisling" entered the current language to designate a traitor and Collaborationiste with the occupying forces.
