Victor Navlet
Louis Victor Navlet , born with Châlons on November 8th 1819 and deceased in Paris on March 3rd 1886 is a French painter specialist in the prospect and architecture for interior.
It was the elder one of three wire of a Master of drawing at the Teacher training school of Châlons, of which two embraced the artistic career. Itself chooses painting, while his/her Gustave brother, who had adopted the paring chisel, produced remarkable sculptures.
Victor Navlet specialized in the art of prospect of which it became one of the Masters. He begin with perspective sights of Paris, according to statements of a geometrical precision, which were bought to him by the town of Paris, before the completion of the work undertaken under the administration of Haussmann. He then carried out many sights of interior of palate of Paris and Rome.
The Company of the Friends of Arts of Rheims exhiba often its tables in its exposures until in 1884. Part of its work is preserved in the French public collections.
The museum of the town of Châlons has two tables of its hand, of which one, the Roman Forum, can be regarded as the principal work of the artist. The Musée of Orsay holds two of its tables: a giant panorama carried out by him in 1855 showing a Seen general of Paris taken of l´Observatoire (in balloon) and a fabric representing the Staircase of the Opera in Paris (1880). Two other panoramas of Paris are with the Musée Carnavalet. Other fabrics are with the castle of Compiegne like to the museums of Bordeaux, Montauban and Beaune.
