Beginnings in novillada with picadors: July 30th 1978.
Presentation with Madrid: May 1st 1980 at the sides of Ramón Fernández Martín “Sacromonte” and Manual Rodríguez “El Mangui”. Novillos of the ganadería of Branco Nuncio.
Alternate: Barcelona (Spain) the September 13rd 1981. Godfather, Palomo Linares; witness, “Manzanares”. Bulls of the ganadería of Carlos Nuñez.

Biography

Victor Mendes is regarded as one of the largest matadors than knew Portugal, in particular thanks to his courage, his Pundonor and his capacity to face bulls of some category that it is. During the every years 1980 and the beginning of the year 1990, it was one of the matadors most appreciated as well in France as in Spain or as in Latin America. It was moreover one of best the Banderillero S of his time.
