Victor Margueritte
Victor Margueritte , born with Blida in 1866 and died in 1942, is men of letters French.
Brother of Paul Margueritte, it engaged in 1886 in the Spahis, before entering in 1891 to the Military academy of Saumur where he became lieutenant of dragons. In 1896, it gave its resignation to be devoted to the literature.
It was shown concerned about the social questions, and was a burning defender of the emancipation of the woman as well as bringing together of the people. He collaborated in particular in the contemporary Revue of Edouard Rod. He supported increasingly advanced social opinions and collaborated in the newspapers and periodicals in international and communist mobility. The publication in 1922 of Garçonne , regarded at the time as shocking, was worth to him to be made withdraw its Légion of honor.
From 1896 to 1908, he collaborated in all works of his brother Paul who in parallel published works under his only name.
