Victor Diancourt

Louis Victor Diancourt , born with Rheims on October 5th, 1825, there is deceased, 10, place Godinot, on May 11th, 1910, is a French politician.

He was city council man in 1870, mayor of Rheims of 1872 to 1881, Député of 1879 to 1881, Senator of the Marne of 1886 to 1906, knight of the Légion of honor.

Bibliophile and art lover, it bequeathed to the Musée of the Art schools and the Public library his important and very invaluable collections. 20.000 volumes which the legacy included/understood found with the Town hall; the fire of May 1917 destroyed some more than 16.000.

He married Marie Francine Folliart (1831-1891) and rests with the Cimetière of North.
