Victor Claude Alexandre Fanneau de Lahorie , born the January 5th 1766 with Javron and shot the October 29th 1812 with Paris, is a Général French.

Origin

Victor Claude Alexandre Fanneau de Lahorie belongs to a family of Justice of the Peace to Couptrain, drawing his title from nobility of a ground of Ferté-Macé. He is the eighth of a family of sixteen children of Charles-Julien Fanneau de Lahorie and Marie Jeanne Renee the Miller of Bignon.

One of his/her brothers, Charles-Julien Fanneau de Lahorie was Gouverneur of Cayenne after having made the Guerre of independence of the United States. Louis-Michel Fanneau de Lahorie, Colonel of Cavalry, made a score of military campaigns under the Republic and the Empire, including that of the countryside of Russia.

Military course

The retirement

Fanneau of Horie is unlucky person: named Major general by Moreau on the field of Battle of Hohenlinden, he sees himself refusing for obscure reasons the ratification of his rank by Napoleon Bonaparte, then First consul (he would have shown himself, seems it, too firm with the general Charles Victor Emmanuel Leclerc, brother-in-law of Bonaparte). Conspiracy

He is implied wrongly in the Conspiration of Pichegru and the Général Moreau. When Moreau is stopped and judged, the career of its chief of staff is broken. It is put of office at the retirement at the 37 years age, the August 26th 1803, it resides in its property of Saint-Just at Vernon. He is condemned to died and continued in 1804, his goods being sequestered. The September 4th 1804, Napoleon i writes with his Minister for the police force Fouché. And like Lahorie, extremely imprudent, asked an audience the emperor to be explained, this one annotated the petition thus: Returned with the ministry for the police force. This citizen should not remain in France .

Lahorie written in the month of June 1810 a letter of 8 pages to expose to the Emperor the clearness of his control, which it had not taken part in the conspiracy of Pichegru, etc Lahorie was committed with respect to Fouché passing in America when certain sums would be carried out. It saves time thus and hides in Feuillantines. It is the moment when his/her mother asks for the lifting of the sequestration. “ Where, known as the Emperor, why isn't it presented is Lahorie? ”.

Slipped by the imperial police force, the fugitive fall into the trap tended by the Minister for the Savary police force and is stopped in Feuillantines “ at a named lady Hugot ” following a treason. Imprisoned the October 30th 1810, it is thrown in the keep of Vincennes then imprisoned in July 1812 with the Prison of the Force. Fanneau of Horie is implied in a new plot: conspiracy of the general Malet. It is released by the general Malet in October 1812 to take the functions of Minister for the Police force after the advertisement invented by Malet of the death of the Emperor in Russia. Lahorie was to replace Savary, its ex comrade, with the ministry for the police force. Charged stopping it with, it treats it with generosity but itself is stopped by the general adjudant Laborde the October 22nd with 10:00 when the situation is turned over.

The conspiracy is ventilated the October 22nd, and the conspirators of which it forms part, after a bâclés instruction and lawsuit, are condemned the October 29th and are shot in the plain of Grenelle the very same day at four o'clock in the afternoon.
