Victor Bourgeau
Victor Bourgeau (1809 - 1888) was a Québécois architect.
Native of Lavaltrie, it becomes Charpentier and Menuisier. His/her uncle teaches then the to him Sculpture, and it devotes to architecture starting from 1851.
Chosen by the bishop Ignace Le Bourget, it realizes more than two hundred architectural parts, and its néobaroque Style has suddenly dominated the Canadian landscape. Bourgeau dies in 1888.

- Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal
- Church Saint-Pierre-Apostle of Montreal; it signs the contract of construction in 1851. Following the success of this construction, he will become the architect of the diocese, under Monseigneur Le Bourget.
- Cathedral Saint-Jacques-the-Major; in collaboration with the father Joseph Michaud, clerk of Saint-Viateur.
