Victor-Louis Focillon
Victor Louis Focillon , born with Dijon in 1849 and died with Paris in 1918. He studies at the School of Beautiful arts of Dijon. It is an engraver aquafortist who carries out Gravure of interpretation.
He exposes to the Salon of Paris in 1876 and obtains there a honourable mention in 1876 and 1889. He is several times preceded, he is in particular gold medal in 1908 with the Living room and the World Fair of 1900. For a long time it chairs the Société of the French aquafortists. It exposes to Royal Academy of London between 1906 and 1920. It initiates Paul Adrien Bouroux with the techniques of engraving.
His/her son Henri Focillon, born in 1881, is a historian of Article.
