Vicente Lusitano
Vicente Lusitano is a Théoricien and Compositeur Portuguese which lived lengthily in Italy. It had been born at the beginning of the 16th century with Olivença (then with the Portugal, today Olivenza in Spain) and died in Rome in 1561.
Vicente Lusitano is known for its defense of the design Diatonique of the harmony against the theory of the mixture of the kinds diatonic, chromatic and enharmonic supported by Nicola Vicentino. One gave him reason publicly, and its conclusions were used then for Giovanni Maria Artusi against Claudio Monteverdi. Lusitano also published some Motet S.
