Vicente Fox Quesada , is a Politician Mexican, born on July 2nd, 1942 with Mexico City, father of four children. It was president of Mexico of February 1st 2000 at November 31st, 2006.

Biography

Wire of Jose Shine Fox and Mercedes Quesada , Vicente Fox Quesada is the second of a family of nine children. After studies with the Mexico and the the United States, it returns in 1964 in the Mexican subsidiary company of the company Coca-Cola to the post of controller of transport. He becomes then president of the company for Mexico and the Latin America. He is then Conseiller Chamber of commerce of the United States of Mexico , then directing of the Fox group.

He joined in 1980 the Partido Acción Nacional (the national Party of action, or SIDE, is a right party which defends liberalism and privatizations). In 1988, it is elected appointed federal of the third district of the State of Guanajuato. In 1995, he becomes governor of the State de Guanajuato.

The July 2nd 2000, at the end of a populist campaign, that which one generally calls Vicente Fox or simply Fox is elected president of Mexico for six years with 44% of the voices. It precedes Francisco Labastida , the candidate of the PRI (Left revolutionary institutional) which obtains 34% of the voices and that of PRD (Left the democratic revolution), Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas , which collects 16% of the votes. It succeeds thus Ernesto Zedillo and puts an end to one 71 years long period during which the PRI occupied without interruption the presidency.

Vicente Fox has much evil to implement its economic reforms, the Congress being dominated by a formed coalition of the PRD and PRI. Its policy against corruption had more success. Thus, of the trade unionists and the owners of Pemex were imprisoned. This powerful oil group of state was implied in the secret funding of the PRI. But the fight against corruption is announced difficult, especially at the local level, so much the system is locked.

The November 26th 2006, the Mexican president crumbles at the time of a ceremony of good-bye celebrated in its ranch of Guanajuato, at five days of the end of its mandate. 64 years old, it was evacuated by ambulance towards a hospital where it followed medical examinations. It then regained the ceremony, which continued normally. The day before, it had been victim of a fall and had been done badly with the back (NB: it had been operated back in 2003).
