Vicente Aleixandre

Vicente Aleixandre Merlo (April 26th 1898, Seville - December 14th 1984, Madrid) is a Spanish poet of the “Génération of 27”.

Vicente Aleixandre accepted the national Price of literature in 1934, was member of the Spanish royal Académie as from 1949 and obtained the Nobel Prize of literature in 1977.

Biography

While continuing studies of right, he discovers poetry in 1917 (Rubén Darío, Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, Antonio Machado… as well as the Symbolists French). Its health starts to be degraded in 1922. In 1925, a néfrite tubercular patient is declared which will end in the ablation of a kidney. In 1925, it starts to write poetry. It published its first poems in the Revista de Occidente in 1926, attending Cernuda, Altolaguirre, Alberti and García Lorca.

At the end of the War of Spain, and in spite of its left-wing ideas, it was not exiled. He became a Master for the young poets.

Work

Its poetic work presents contrasted stages. In the first, under the influence of the Surrealism, individualism precedes, the tone visionary and a species of panteism in love. Its vision is more pessimistic with a difficult language. The top of this stage is Sombra LED paraíso .

Its second stage starts in 1945 and in it the feeling of the community prevails, characterized by a posture of integration of the poet in the world, known as its human stage. Its style is done more sensitive, more accessible. Two fundamentaux books of this stage: Historia LED corazón and In a vasto dominio .

There is a final stage, in which one can consider a biological evolution where Aleixandre sees the section of the road. During this time, it uses a serene and tragic voice to sing the imminent arrival of death. The books of this time of investigation are Poemas of the consumación , Sonido of will guerra and Diálogos LED conocimiento .
