Famous characters

The famous chief Camisard Jean Cavalier counted in his troop two officers of Vic, Paul and Jean Trentinian.

Wire of Paul, Jacques (1702-1782) was one of the consuls of Montpellier of 1744 to 1754 and father of Jean-Jacques de Trentinian, who took part in the Guerre of independence of the United States of America of 1778 to 1783; knight of Saint-Louis in 1783, this last temina its career as colonel in the Armed with the Rhine. He was the great-grandfather of the general of Trentinian (1851-1942), of which there exist in particular two statues: Foch avenue in Paris and on the acropolis of Koulouba to Bamako (Mali).
