History

The Bastide of Vianne was founded in 1284 by an act of Paréage between the Jordan of Isle and the Seneshal of Guyenne Jean de Grailly, representative of the king d' Angleterre Edouard Ier of England. The name of the city was chosen by the Jordan of Isle in the honor of his/her aunt Viane de Gontaud-Biron which him léga a few years earlier its rights on the seigniory of Mongaillard on which the future country house depended.
