Vestiges off the Natural History off Creation

Vestiges off the Natural History off Creation is a book published anonymously in England in 1844. He proposes a natural theory of the biological and cosmic evolution, connecting together many scientific theoretical speculations of the time, and creating a considerable political controversy in the company victorienne of then, by his nonorthodoxe radicalism and his ideas.

After decades of speculation, the 12th edition, published in 1884, reveals finally the true name of the author who proves to be Robert Chambers, an Irish journalist, deceased in 1871.

Explanations: a continuation

In 1845, a continuation is published under the title Explanations: In Sequel to the Vestiges off the Natural History off Creation, with the 4th edition of Vestiges , to address criticisms to the original work. One second edition of this continuation is published one years later, in 1846. Just like Vestiges , Explanations is also published anonymously under the reference " By the author off that work".
