Vestas
The Danish company Vestas Wind Systems A/S (with dimensions with the purse of Copenhagen under reference VWS.CO) is the largest manufacturer of wind S in the world. With a turnover of 3,583 billion Euros, it has a market share of 28% in 2005. Its main competitors are Spanish world Gamesa with 18,1% of market share, German Enercon with 15,8% in 2004 and American GE Wind with 11,3%. In 2004, Vestas repurchases its larger Danish competitor NEG Micon .
In France, the company is based in Pérols, in the Herault. In Germany, the company is localized with Husum and Lauchhammer (manufacture of the blades). With the end of the year 2005, Vestas employed: 10618 people in 24 countries, of which Denmark, the France, the Germany, the Sweden, the England, the Italy, the Japan, the USA and the Australia.
