Vessels worlds
Origin
In the Universe of fiction Warhammer 40,000, the vessel-worlds are at the beginning of the commercial vessels used by the eldars to trade through the Galaxie. However, because of their ceaseless voyages, the inhabitants of these vessels saw a danger little by little being profiled: their brothers remained on the planet-mother of Eldars let themselves go little by little to all extravagances, without any limit. It was at the time of the Fall that these vessel-worlds became the remainders of glorious in the past Eldar civilization. Maintaining the various vessel-worlds traverse the galaxy, trying to survive and preserve as much as possible the territory of their old days.
Description of the principal vessel-worlds
There exists a multitude of vessel-worlds, all different by their size, their lifestyle and the culture which they try to preserve. Each vessel-world has a leading group, normally made up of a handle of Large Prophets trying to probe the probable futures according to each movement, whether it is political or soldier. In the center of the vessel is a crowned room where a fragment of Kaela Mansha Khaine rests, a misadventure of God to the Bloody Hand.
Five of them only sufficiently often intervene in the businesses of humanity so that their name is known beyond the circles of the eldars. These vessel-worlds are:
- Biel-Tan
- Saim-Hann
- Ulthwé
- Alaitoc
- Iyanden
Biel-Tan
It is the warlike vessel-world par excellence. It has more temples of Aspects than the others. the policy of its leaders and the absolute defense of the old Eldars territories, where live some colonies Exodites and the eradication of any presence Ork. Moreover, it has a governmental characteristic. Indeed, exarque chosen by its fellow-members exarques of the vessel is seen decreed the honorary title of Jeune King , which gives him a weight in decision making. However, if the incarnation of Kaela Mansha Khaine must appear, it will be that which will give its flesh to the god. Its colors are the green and the white, decorated with black brambles and a heart. Its symbol is the rebirth (a heart in a kind of tuning fork).
Saim-Hann
Its principal aspect is the intensive use of motojets and other means of transport AntiGrav for fast and frightening attacks. It is directed not by Prophètes like the other vessels, but by several families, under the orders of their patriarchs. The system evokes a feudal system, where the patriarch decides for the family which control they will adopt. They exist many tournaments on motojets to keep their drunk inhabitants speed. It is most powerful of the vessel world although it cannot resist an army made up of strong piece of artillery. Its color is the red, decorated black bands. Its symbol is the cosmic snake (a kind of white dragon), a judicious dual creature to exist at the same time in the Warp and the material universe.
Ulthwé
The vessel more centered on the power of the psychic capacities, this of with the proximity of their vessel-world of the Eye of terror. Eldrad Ulthran directed the vessel-world until recently, because killed during the black Crusades. Its inhabitants use much the technology of the portable gates warp. Each inhabitant is made more than of habit to the principles of the war, with the result that the guards of Ulthwé are appreciably better, that those of the other vessel-worlds, they are real warriors and not a kind of militia. Alaitoc
This vessel-world lets more readily leave its inhabitants on the Lost Way, making them rangers accustomed at worst the conditions and better than the majority, because of their thorough knowledge of various the planets on which they leave. Its colors are blue and the yellow. Its rune represents the temple of Asuryan (a flame under a roof). Iyanden could be translated by " the light in Darkness ". It will be noted that the Yriel hero belonged to this Vessel-World.
