Vespa orientalis

The Eastern Frelon ( Vespa orientalis ) is a Frelon which resembles the European Frelon much. Not to confuse with the Asian Frelon ( Vespa mandarinia').

The female queens measure 25 to 35 mm length, the males and the workers are smaller.

In the males, the antennas have 13 segments, whereas the females always have 12 of them.
