Vertical integration
In Microéconomie and Strategy of company, the expression “ vertical integration ” describes a mode of Propriété and control gathering under only one authority the various stages of production and distribution relating to a type of products or services given.
The vertically integrated companies are plain via a Hiérarchie and have a common owner. In general, each member of this hierarchy works out a produced or a different service, these products and services combining to satisfy a Besoin final commun run.
This concept can enter in contradiction with that of horizontal Intégration, where it is a question of gathering entities which manufacture produced S similar in order to obtain economies of scale and to have a strong position compared to the upstream (suppliers) and the downstream (Distributeur S, Consommateur S).
