Versailles (Kentucky)
Versailles is a Ville of the American State of the Kentucky, located in the county of Woodford, of which it is the seat. According to the census of 2000, its population is of 7.511 inhabitants.
The city is founded the June 23rd 1792, on a field of 32 Hectares of Hezekiah Briscoe, which was then a child. Its guard, Marquis Colmes, named the city according to Versailles of the France, to commemorate the French assistance in the war of independence of the United States.
