For the period of the Judicat S, thanks to the will of Éléonore d' Arborée imposed themselves with the " Carta de Logu" the establishment of vineyards in on the waste lands and of severe laws for their maintains. At the end of XIX°s, all the vines of Europe - and thus Vernaccia di Oristano - were damaged by the Phyloxera, fought by grafting of American seedlings. The post-war period saw a strong resumption of the production, much of producers met in co-operative and obtained a regulation of the production of Vernaccia di Oristano DOC. But the Nineties transfer a large fall of the production and a loss of interest of the producers like consumers, because of the European premiums to pulling up, the high costs of production due to the triennial fallow of the product and the increasing quantity of products present on the market which carry to a broader choice for the consumer.
