Vermondans

Vermondans is old a common French, located in the department of the Doubs and the area Franche-Comté, and annexed since 1973 at the city close to Bridge-with-Roide.

The inhabitants of Vermondans are called Vermondanais .

Geography

Vermondans is located on the secondary road 437 between Montbeliard and Morteau. The village is crossed by the brook Ranceuse .

History

During the Second world war, Vermondans was in the middle of a violent face set up as of the release of Bridge-with-Roide the September 12th 1944. Two long months afterwards, Vermondans was finally released, the November 15th 1944.

Annexation

In 1973, Vermondans is unified with the city close to Bridge-with-Roide. Its mayor becomes delegated mayor, and the administration of Vermondans becomes increasingly optional.

Vermondans is an industrial village. Currently, it comprises groups such as Métatherm-Métalis, Mercier Clause, AMC… In its past, the commune was made up of the factories Clausse, Falconnet, Beaume, Girardin.
