Vermifuge
The vermifuge is a Médicament for human or for pet such as the Chien S. It allows éradiquer the parasitic intestinal or Ver S.
The principal parasites intestinal are:

of the round worms (nematodes): ascaris, trichure, ankylostome…
- of the flat worms (cestodes): tapeworms, dipylidium, echinococcus…
- of the protozoa: coccidies, giardia…
The symptoms caused by these parasites are:

growth of the pups slowed down
- thinness, irregular appetite
- dull peeling and piqué
- diarrhea, distensions
- prurit anal, sign of the sledge (the dog rubs the anus by ground while continuing to advance with the former ones).
- elimination of the worms by the saddles and for some by the vomiting.
Other more specific symptoms of each parasite can to it be added.
The contamination is done in general by oral way: infested saddles, milk of the mother, ingestion of an intermediate host (animal at whom the parasite develops without starting disease, it can be a question of chips, or meat believed like rabbit, sheep, rodent…)
Administration of the vermifuge
For the pups (and the kittens), the vermifuge must be managed every month during the first 6 months of the life. After the 6 months age, the vermifuge will be managed at least twice a year (either every 6 months). The reproductive bitches can contaminate the pups, it is thus advised of the vermifuger 1 to 2 weeks before the low setting, just after the low setting then every 2 weeks until weaning. The protocols vary according to the drug prescribed, the majority require only one administration. The vermifuges are presented in the form of compressed or of paste and maintaining in the form of spot one (liquid to be applied to the skin) in the cat.
