Veringenstadt is located in the valley of Lauchert, an affluent of the the Danube, between Gammertingen and Sigmaringen.

• Eduard Peters (*1869; † 1948 deceased with Veringendorf), archeologist
• Karl Lehmann (* 1936), cardinal and bishop of Mainz, since 1987 president of the conference of the German bishops (" Deutschen Bischofskonferenz"), grew in Veringenstadt.
