Verification (collections of a museum)

According to article 11 of the decree of May 25th, 2004 setting the technical standards relating to the behavior of the inventory, the register of the goods deposited in a Musée of France and with the verification, it is stipulated that:

“the verification is the operation which consists in checking, on part and on the spot, starting from a good or of its number of inventory: the presence of the good in the collections, its localization, the state of the good, its marking, the conformity of the inscription to the inventory with the good like, if necessary, with the various documentary sources, files, files of works, catalogs”.

For the museums, an obligation of decennial verification was founded by the relative law with the museums of France.
