Verdun mount

The Mount Verdun , with its 625 meters, is the culminating point of the Monts of Gold, in the North-West of Lyon.

The Mont Verdun is the seat of a base of air control of the Air force (Air base 942 Lyon-Mount Verdun). It recently accommodates the installations of control of the strategic air force (COFAS 2). At the first September 2007 BA 942 accommodates in its walls a new unit, the CNOA (National center of the air operations). The CNOA was in the past the CCOA based with Taverny (BA921).

The Mount-Verdun is a known meeting place of the Lyons riders which go down with boards to casters (Freebord, Longboard, Luges, Rollers,…).
