The Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi classico is a white Wine Italian of the area Marches equipped with a name DOC. since August 11th, 1968. The authorized vineyards are located in the provinces of Ancône and of of Macerata in the communes of Apiro, Belvedere Ostrense, Castelbellino, Castelplanio, Cupramontana, Maiolati Spontini, Mergo, Montecarotto, Monte Roberto, Morro d' Alba, Poggio San Marcello, Rosora, San Marcello, San Paolo di Jesi, Serra de' Conti, Staffolo like partly in the communes of Arcevia and Serra San Quirico. This zone called classico is close to the Esino river.
