Vercoquin and the plankton

Vercoquin and the plankton is a Romance of Boris Vian published in 1947. This novel, near to the joke, tells, with the manner of Boris Vian, the surprises started from 1945.

Synopsis

The novel is located between two surprised parts. At the time of the first, the Major (recurring character of Boris Vian) falls in love with Discord. In the second the Major becomes engaged to it. Between the two, the Major deploys a a whole strategy to obtain the authorization of the uncle and tutor of Discord. Appears in this novel the character of Antioche Tambretambre, right-hand man of the Major and who is perhaps Vian him even when it was young.

The account

Its caricature of AFNOR, where he worked, represents well the humor of the absurdity ansi that its description of a festival so well successful that the house jumps with all its inhabitants plants us the decorations: we are in the universe of Vian.

It is with a certain rejoicing that one finds insolence, the poetry and the surrealism of Vian.
