Verchères (provincial district)

Verchères is a provincial electoral constituency Quebec. It is located in the administrative area of the Montérégie and its deputy is Stephan Bergeron, of the Parti Québécois, elected at the time of the Québécois general election of 2007.

History

The district of Verchères was created in 1829. Of 1994 with 2005, it was represented by Bernard Landry (Prime Minister for Quebec of 2001 with 2003).
