A veranda is a part with living, often more enlightened than a room manufactured in usual materials, but it is also more fragile. It is often out of wood or aluminum.

The veranda term comes from the Indian word baramdah which indicates an external part (a Balcon) having a Toiture to protect itself from the natural elements before returning or leaving, in houses in India.
