Veracruz
Veracruz is a State located at the east of the Mexico. Veracruz is located between 17° 10 ' and 22° 38 ' North and between 93° 55 ' and 98° 38 ' West. The official name of the State is Veracruz-Lava .
Several islands of the Gulf of Mexico are attached to the State de Veracruz. The continental part extends on 72 815 km ² and the islands occupy a surface of 58 km.
It is surrounded by several States, in north is Tamaulipas, in the south Oaxaca and Chiapas, in south-east Tabasco, the west Puebla, Hidalgo, San Luis Potosí. In the east is the Gulf of Mexico.
Jalapa (or Xalapa or Jalapa-Enríquez / Xalapa-Enríquez ) is the capital of the State de Veracruz which comprises 212 municipalities. Veracruz counts approximately 7 millions inhabitants (2000).
