Vera Moukhina
Vera Ignatieva Moukhina , born in 1889 and deceased in 1953, is a Soviet sculptrice famous.
It was artist of the People of the the USSR and active member of the Academy of Beautiful arts of the USSR. It remarkably contributed to the development of the monumental Sculpture and the Soviet Portrait. One can speak, in connection with his work, of Official art. The sculpture of the workman and kolkhoz was set up in Paris on the roof of the house of the Soviet Union during the World Fair of 1937. Artistic confrontation with the surmounted German house, him of a colossal eagle was a very noticed event.
