Biography
His/her Jesús father was colonel in the army of Benito Juárez. Venustiano Carranza was senator of the State de Coahuila during the presidency of Diaz. Disappointed not to be appointed governor, he was one of the first to support the efforts of Francisco Madero to reverse Porfirio Díaz. Madero once with the capacity appointed it secretary of the war and the marine. After Victoriano Huerta reversed and assassinated Madero, Carranza with the troops constitutionalists of which it had autoproclamé " to precede jefe" (the forces of Carranza were known like the army constitutionalist because he was the champion of the re-establishment of the liberal constitution of 1857) Huerta reversed which private American support, was exiled in the USA, where he died in 1916.Carranza assumed the presidency on May 1st, 1915. It set up an independent legal system, more decentralization, and a land reform under the system of the Ejido. It was a man of a great intelligence with a vast knowledge of the situation and Mexican history. He was also opportunist and without pity for his adversaries. The Zapatist ones that it fought invented the verb " carrancear" drawn from its name, and which meant plundering, dead and desolation.
In September 1916, he saw the need for a new constitution and called a constitutional convention. The constitution of Querétaro is adopted on February 5th, 1917. May 1st, 1917, he was elected the first president under the new constitution.
The bloody combat continued with factions opposed to Carranza supported by its red battalions of the " LED obrero mundial" put; , energy of the landowners and the catholic conservatives to the bands of Emiliano Zapata and to the armies made up of Francisco Villa. It offered a reward on the head of Zapata, which led to its assassination in a ambush (1919).
As its presidency was finished, it chooses Ignacio Bonillas like its successor. Ignacio Bonillas, unknown of all, were ambassador in Washington. It was to be used as puppet for Carranza.
That been worth to him the resentment of its revolutionary comrades who entredéchiraient themselves already for the capacity Álvaro Obregón and Adolfo of Huerta like Plutarco Elias Calles, which with the plan of Agua Prieta that they had conceived, forced it to leave Mexico City to go towards Veracruz but it was intercepted and assassinated on the way in Tlaxcalaltongo.
Its political enemies had called it the " dog running of Révolution".
