Venus Ebony Starr Williams (born the June 17th 1980 with Lynwood, California) is an American player of Tennis , Professionnel it on the circuit WTA since 1994.

Number one world on February 25th 2002, and first Afro-American of the history to reach this row, Venus Williams gained six tournaments of the Grand Slam into simple, including four times Wimbledon.

Associated with her younger sister Serena, vis-a-vis whom it in addition lost five finales into simple, it was essential on six resumptions into double ladies.

With the Olympic Games of Sydney in 2000, it took down the gold medal at the same time into simple and double ladies (always with his/her sister), new performance since Helen Wills in 1924.

The return of the Williams sisters in double
