Venetian republic (1848)

The Venetian republic is a state created with Venice during risings of 1848 and 1849 against the Austrian domination of the north of Italy: the lombard-Venetian Kingdom.

One of its principal leaders was Daniele Manin. She was taken again by the Austrians in August 1849.
