Vendas Novas is a municipality (in Portuguese: concelho or município ) of the Portugal, located in the District of Évora and the area of the Alentejo.

Geography

Vendas Novas is bordering:
  • in the east, of Montemor-o-Novo,
  • in the south, of Alcácer C Sal,
  • in the west, of Palmela,
  • in the North-West, of the oriental party of Montijo.

History

The municipality was created in 1962, by dismemberment partial of the municipality of Montemor-o-Novo.
